After successfully acquiring 25.2% of Atieva's shares and becoming its largest shareholder, BAIC conducted a series of negotiations with Atieva on the design, R&D and manufacturing of new energy vehicles. China Netcom learned from Beiqi Official that in the future, it will cooperate with Atieva to develop a high-end new energy passenger vehicle, which will be on the same level as the Audi A6L. At present, most domestic self-branded electric vehicles are small and medium-sized electric vehicles, and the car will become the country’s first high-end electric vehicle after its launch.

At the Beijing auto show in 2012, Beijing Automotive released a C90 concept car. The wheelbase is more than 3 meters and it is a C-Class sedan that is expected to be listed within the year. According to Beiqi's practice of pushing electric cars before, Beiqi's high-end electric car is likely to be the electric version of the C90.

Energy-saving and new energy vehicles have become the development direction of the international automotive industry.
