China Western Electric successfully developed the first ± 800kV dry-wave reactor of Lingshao project

It is learned from the SASAC website: On July 13, the first ± 800kV 400Mvar dry-type smoothing reactor of Lingshao Project, developed by China Western Electric Group Corporation, passed all the tests at once. This marks the successful construction of the first ± 800kV 400Mvar dry-type smoothing reactor in Lingshao Project in China.

Ningdong - Shaoxing ± 800 kV HVDC transmission project, is the country "second Five-Year" West to East key project. It starts from Lingzhou Converter Station in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and ends at Shaoxing Converter Station in Zhuji City, Zhuji City, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. It passes through 6 provinces including Ningxia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Anhui and Zhejiang and has a total length of 1722 km.

Because of its advantages of no oil, environmental protection, no auxiliary operation system and basic maintenance-free, dry-type reactors are gradually becoming a direction of the development of DC transmission network. ± 800kV 400Mvar dry-type smoothing reactor is one of the dry-type smoothing reactors with the largest DC continuous current in China at present. It has the requirements of anti-vibration, high temperature rise and strict requirements of rain and noise reduction. The conflict between the hot temperature has a certain degree of difficulty. Its successful development has further improved the XD brand dry-type smoothing reactor product line, improved the design and manufacture of high-voltage and high-current dry-type smoothing reactors, and further enhanced its market competitiveness.
