Shandong Electric Power Co., Ltd. Unified Electric Load Breaks Through 49 Million Kilowatts

At 11:17 on August 10, Shandong Electric Power Co., Ltd. had a total call load of 49 million kilowatts, which reached 49.100 million kilowatts. This is the seventh time that Shandong Electric Power Co., Ltd. has used the power load to record a new high since the summer.

In the past few days, the high-temperature and high-humidity “sauna days” in the province have promoted the continuous increase in electricity load. This year, coupled with the steady and healthy development of Shandong's economy since the beginning of this year, the province’s electricity demand has been booming. After entering the summer, the province has more hot weather and the cooling load has increased significantly, driving the continuous increase in electricity load. Since the first record high since July 1, the highest historical record of Shandong Electric Power's call load has been refreshed six times in July. 16 out of 17 districts in the province created new high electricity load, among which the highest load in Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Weifang, Zibo, and Linyi reached more than 4 million kilowatts, and Qingdao and Yantai both exceeded 5 million kilowatts.

Faced with the severe situation of power shortage in the province and the arduous task of meeting summer peaks, Shandong Power Group Corporation has fully launched the “summer-summer Xia Baodian Congress” in the critical period when the power grid is about to enter the summer peak. After the successful implementation of the “Rainbow Spring Rain” drought prevention and power conservation conference at the beginning of the year, we again organized a global system-wide centralized campaign. To ensure the orderly and reliable supply of electricity throughout the province during the summer peak season; to further deepen the supply of quality services, strengthen repair power, increase the intensity of live work, reduce power outage time, to the maximum extent to meet the province's people's production and living needs.

In response to the impact of high loads, Shandong Power Dispatching Center actively communicates with the Jiaodong Converter Substation of Yindong DC Transmission Project to ensure stable and reliable input of external power into Lulu Power. It understands the operational characteristics of DC equipment and various types of equipment defects to transmit power. Impact: Strengthen the connection with North China Power Grid Corporation, dynamically understand the power supply and demand situation of North China Power Grid, and pay close attention to the North China-Shandong Exchange Link Power Plan, ensuring that the foreign power into Lu Power basically maintains smooth operation as planned. During the peak hours of electricity use, Shandong Power Grid received 7.5 million kilowatts of electricity from outside the province through the “Transmission into Lu” project. At the key moment, the external power has played an important supporting role and made positive contributions to the sound and rapid economic and social development of Shandong.
