[Trends] Five major application scenarios of artificial intelligence + mental health care

The author recently reviewed the information of more than 70 medical artificial intelligence companies at home and abroad through public channels and non-public channels, which are located in North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Israel, India, Singapore, South Korea and China. We have classified these 70 companies into 10 categories, including (1) insight/risk management, (2) emergency room and hospital monitoring, (3) biotechnology, (4) health and lifestyle management, (5) Nutrition, (6) Wearables, (7) Virtual Care Assistant, (8) Drug Excavation, (9) Medical Imaging, and (10) Mental Health. At present, it seems that the startups that combine artificial intelligence and mental health are relatively small in terms of the number of projects and the amount of financing. But we believe that there are huge investment opportunities hidden here.

We divide mental health and artificial intelligence into three categories according to perspective. The first category is the perspective of ordinary people, that is, artificial intelligence helps users to adjust their emotions. The second category is the perspective of psychologists and psychiatrists, involving artificial intelligence for the prediction, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of mental illness. The third perspective is the perspective of neurologists, mainly using artificial intelligence to predict some neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease.
