Will electric cars further replace cars? Electric vehicles accounted for 42% of global sales in Norway in June

According to US media reports on July 4, China is currently leading the sales of electric vehicles. On the other hand, Norwegian electric vehicles account for the highest proportion of registered new cars in the world. In June, Norwegian electric vehicle sales accounted for 42% of total vehicle sales, much higher than the global average of 2%, setting a record for electric vehicle sales, 37% in January.

The above sales data includes plug-in hybrid cars, but the sales of pure electric vehicles are still far ahead. Among them, pure electric vehicles accounted for 27% of total sales in June, and Volkswagen e-Golf was far ahead, with sales of 874 units. The second-largest electric vehicle was the Tesla Model X electric SUV, which sold 609 units. This was followed by the Renault ZOE, which was 428 vehicles. This car ranks first in the European electric vehicle sales list. The fourth-selling model is the Opel Ampera E (European version of the Universal Chevrolet Bolt), which is 389 units. Since GM is currently focusing on its domestic models, Ampera E will not be re-produced until next year.

Norway plans to achieve the goal of all electric vehicles in 2025 as pure electric vehicles, which is still far away from this target. But as the government introduces incentives such as exempting 25% VAT, Norway is getting closer to this goal.
